PRISM Shibori Workshops

On Tuesday we delivered two free Shibori workshops at the PRISM exhibition Edgelands at the Art Pavilion. Both were a great success with participants travelling from as far a field as Wales to attend and see the show. We had return visitors who attended Ross’ contact printing workshops last year and a lady who we first got to know in 2018!

We had really lovely attendees on both workshops and everyone produced excellent work. We concentrated on Nui (a stitching technique), Itajime (where the fabric is folded and sandwiched between two pieces of wood) and Kumo (objects bound with thread or rubber bands). One returnee was thrilled with the leaf shapes she produced using stitching. It is always lovely to be able to deliver free taster sessions, especially when they are so well attended and received.
